This is our 1-piece Chromoly conversion for the BMW E46 (6-Speed Manual Transmission ONLY, will not fit SMG). The shaft is 3_ x .083_ DOM tube with billet aluminum plates to convert the small bolt pattern on the factory transmission to use larger 1310 U-Joint and a 108mm CV to mount to the differential. This will eliminate any possible pinion angle issues. It will make the car seem more athletic and give it a smoother power transfer. We would have liked to offer an aluminum version, but for strength, it would have to be 3.5_ aluminum which is too large in diameter to fit without a clearance issue. Unlike other aftermarket shafts for BMWÕs this shaft features a slider system that will let the shaft move in and out during racing and chassis flex. This shaft is now being balanced on our new 9500RPM balancer to ensure a perfectly balanced shaft. It comes complete with precision machined front and rear conversion plates and all necessary hardware for installation.
